Our Story
We built the first self-study AI tool
We built Huxli, the first self-study AI tool for students in the world. Students could upload their lecture notes or class materials and instantly get AI-generated quizzes and summaries to help them study.
There was no teacher-facing dashboard, no school integrations, and no intent to serve classrooms. It was entirely designed for independent learners, especially college students.
Teachers found us anyway
We never marketed to teachers. But we noticed something strange in the data: University instructors, TAs, and even some K-12 teachers were signing up. They were feeding in their own materials to see what the tool would generate.
Some started sharing the AI-generated quizzes with their students because the questions were both more relevant and easier to create.
All that was missing was what to do with the results.
StarQuiz was born
What if AI could create that feedback loop automatically, using the actual material from class?
That's what led to StarQuiz. Not a quiz generator. A formative assessment engine, built from real instruction.
